Amarillo, Texas I hope y’all are ready because you’ve got a lot of excitement, food, shopping, and dancing headed your way this weekend! The Coors Cowboy Club Ranch Rodeo is kicking off June 4-5, 2021 at the Amarillo National Center. The Coors Cowboy Club is bringing all the action to town with events including, saddle bronc riding, stray gathering, trailer loading, branding, and wild cow milking.
The Coors Cowboy Club Ranch Rodeo was originally called the Coors Ranch Rodeo. From 1987-2007, the Coors Ranch Rodeo was the kickoff event of the summer. Today, the Coors Cowboy Club now directs and runs the Ranch Rodeo with the same dedication and love that the Coors of Amarillo and Reed family had given the rodeo for their 20 years. This is one of the major fundraisers for the Coors Cowboy Club.
The Coors Cowboy Club Ranch Rodeo is an annual event that serves as a tribute to the West Texas heritage, it showcases the rich history and the western way of life. The rodeo features a competition between real cowboys who are from real working ranches in the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles and New Mexico.
This rodeo is different and unique from other rodeos because they showcase and promote real events that these cowboys participate in on a regular basis on their ranches. One distinctive aspect of this rodeo is the qualifications that a ranch must have to be eligible for the Coors Cowboy Club Ranch Rodeo. The rodeo committee as well as the Coors Cowboy Club board review each ranch and give consideration to each ranch based on certain criteria. Important criteria would be the historical significance of the ranch. Lastly, the Coors Cowboy Club Ranch Rodeo ranches must be working ranches.
The Coors Cowboy Club Ranch Rodeo is bringing in more than just a rodeo, there will be a Coors Cowboy Club Cattle Drive, participating ranches, Brats and Brew, Cowboy Christmas, dancing at the Rodeo Roadhouse, Washer Pitching, BBQ and Brew, and of course the Coors Cowboy Club Ranch Rodeo.
