Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb. bulk sausage
- 16 oz can kidney beans
- 1 1/2 cup canned tomatoes
- 2 cups water
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 cup diced potatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
Directions:
Cook sausage in skillet until brown. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients and simmer covered for about 1 hour. Remove bay leaf. Serve hot.
