As a proud city in the Lone Star State, Stephenville TX has a rich rodeo history that dates back to the days before Gene Autry went abroad to serve in the Army Air Corps. Autry used to perform in Erath County; in his absence, the legendary Roy Rogers delighted local fans who could not travel to Madison Square Garden. Over the years, the rodeo scene grew exponentially in the region; for this reason, the Cowboy Capital of the World
