Cutting a new record in Nashville, Harry Luge

Harry Luge

Cowboy Lifestyle Network caught up with Harry Luge while he was in Nashville recording last month.  Luge spent four days in the studio working with producer Dennis Money on a new album due out this Fall.

A glimpse into his recording schedule showed his strength in logistical operations.  Day I started with a sunrise flight from Arizona to Nashville with a tarmac delay from mother nature.  After a pre-production meeting with Sweetsong Nashville he met up with family to watch a friend perform on lower Broadway Ave.

Within 24 hours of Day II, four songs were tracked with musicians Fred Newell, Glen Duncan, Gary Primm, Jerry Bridges, Mike Seavers and Eddie on drums, mentioned Luge.   The third day Luge and team were back in studio working.  By 3 p.m. he had finished up the second song,  took a break and called Mrs. Luge to hear about her day. “And get a little dose of her love,” Luge stated,  “At 7 p.m. it’s time to record In God We Trust, a powerful song, about 9pm the recorder performs some strange malfunctions that cannot be explained! After a prayer we are able to finish the night of vocals.”

Day 4 brought closure to the recording session.  Luge was up by 9:30 a.m. feeling refreshed and thankful for God’s blessings and the ability to spend time with his in-laws at Pancake Pantry before working on the vocals for “Something Real.”   Each Wednesday he performs Live on Facebook at 9:30 p.m. so his schedule broke before he finished up his recording session at 11:30 p.m.

Over the years Luge has released more than five albums, his first in 2000. He is a regular performer at popular events and venues such as Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino, Blue MartiniCountry Thunder, Country Stampede, NASCAR’s Phoenix International Raceway, state fairs and rodeos across the country.  He has opened for superstar artists including Merle Haggard, Brad Paisley, Eric Church, Chris Ledoux, Neal McCoy, Martina McBride, Montgomery Gentry and many more.
