Earnhardt has been involved in auto dealerships in Arizona since Tex Earnhardt opened his first store, in Chandler, in 1951. Over the years, he opened more dealerships, and his likeness hasΒ become well known. His trademarked slogan, βThat ainβt no bull,β has been a part of the advertisement for decades. In the commercials, Tex rode a steer (not a bull), so he was truthful that it βainβt no bull.β
Now 85, Tex Earnhardt is still actively involved with the familyβs automotive business and visits stores in the Valley almost daily. Earnhardt Auto Centers is still owned and managed by the Earnhardt family, including Texβs grandkids, and itΒ is the oldest and largest family owned automobile group in Arizona.
