Earnhardt Auto Centers hosts baby formula collection drive May 16-30

Written by

In response to the national baby formula shortage, Earnhardt Auto Centers is collecting formula to support families in need. Earnhardt has teamed up with The Society of St. Vincent de Paul and @ArizonaMommies to host drop-off sites.

If you have unused baby formula at home that you don’t need anymore, please help put it in the hands of families who do. Donations can be dropped off from May 16-30 at any Earnhardt Auto Centers location, in the St. Vincent de Paul donation boxes. They will accept all types of sealed, non-expired formula, including single-serving packets, liquid bottles, cans and sample sizes.

While the thought is appreciated, please don’t purchase additional formula for this drive. Instead, let’s keep available baby formula in the stores for people who need it! To help with other ongoing needs of St. Vincent de Paul and their partners, you can also donate sealed packages of wipes at any Earnhardt Auto Centers location. Diapers, including open packages of unused diapers, are also welcome!

Arizona Mommies is an online forum and community connecting local moms. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international non-profit organization dedicated to serving the poor and helping those in need.

Now a household name in the Valley, Earnhardt Auto Centers has a long history of community service. The No Bull Charities group encourages employees to donate via payroll deductions to different charities, and employees also volunteer at community events.

Tex Earnhardt started Earnhardt Auto Centers with one location in Chandler in 1951, ultimately growing to 16 brands at 17 locations throughout the Valley, Prescott and Las Vegas. Tex became well-known as a straight-shooting cowboy with his famous catchphrase, “That ain’t no bull.” You can easily find a local spot to donate to this drive. Visit NoBull.com to find the Earnhardt location closest to you!

She attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale and then Arizona State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Similarly to the protagonist in *The Devil Wears Prada*, Carolyn moved to New York City right after college. After a few years, she left New York in the rearview mirror and returned to her home state, taking a reporter job at the *Apache Junction Independent*. With over 30 years of freelance writing experience, Carolyn especially enjoys writing about community events and profiling individuals who are making a difference in their communities. She had the pleasure of interviewing a variety of cowboy personalities for an article she wrote for the *Scottsdale Independent* about the history of DC Ranch and its roots as a working ranch. Now, her Western adventures with CLN have her diving into the rugged automotive scene, exploring the trucks and rigs cowboys rely on for work, home, and play, a niche where grit meets horsepower. She works at Raising Special Kids, a nonprofit resource center for families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. Carolyn also volunteers with the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. Carolyn believes that everyone has a story, and she loves connecting with others to hear their stories. She’s dedicated to ethical journalism and accurate reporting, which shines through in her storytelling.
