The Recycle Your Bicycle drive is now officially underway. Bring your second-hand bicycle to any Earnhardt Auto Centers location in Arizona or Nevada, where it will be refurbished and donated to a child in foster care. Earnhardt dealerships will accept donations through September 30.
Earnhardt Auto Centers is a presenting sponsor of the annual Recycle Your Bicycle drive. The bicycles are given to children in foster care during the upcoming holiday season. The drive will gladly take new bicycles too, as well as financial donations toward materials like tubes, tires, new seats and even cleaning supplies. Receipts are available for all donations.

Any size bicycle can be dropped off, from trikes to mountain bikes as well as different styles like three-wheelers and training bikes. There’s a special need for smaller bikes, 20 inches or less. If you have an extra bicycle sitting in your garage, take it to your local Earnhardt dealership. Bring a smile to the face of a kid in foster care this holiday season!
Volunteers refurbish the bikes on Saturday mornings. If you’re interested in helping, learn more here.
The bicycle drive benefits the Arizona Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents, a group that supports foster and adoptive families. This organization is one of many that receives donations and volunteer support through Earnhardt Auto Centers and its “No Bull Charities.” Employees are encouraged to give their resources and time to this and other causes within their local communities.

Earnhardt employees can also choose to participate in a company charity program called H.E.A.R.T. In this program, employees elect to provide payroll deductions that are collected and given to different charities each month.
If you need a new or used car, visit any Earnhardt Auto Centers dealership in person or online. When you do business there, you’re also helping the company to support local charities![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”44550″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow_3d”][vc_column_text]

Carolyn Sostrom is a long-time Arizona resident who loves desert sunsets, warm weather, Zumba, and the Western lifestyle. She attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale and then Arizona State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Similarly to the protagonist in *The Devil Wears Prada*, Carolyn moved to New York City right after college. She started working for the fashion magazine company Conde Nast but never transitioned to the dark side. After a few years, she left New York in the rearview mirror and returned to her home state, taking a reporter job at the *Apache Junction Independent*. With over 30 years of freelance writing experience, Carolyn especially enjoys writing about community events and profiling individuals who are making a difference in their communities. She had the pleasure of interviewing a variety of cowboy personalities for an article she wrote for the *Scottsdale Independent* about the history of DC Ranch and its roots as a working ranch. Now, her Western adventures with CLN have her diving into the rugged automotive scene, exploring the trucks and rigs cowboys rely on for work, home, and play, a niche where grit meets horsepower. She works at Raising Special Kids, a nonprofit resource center for families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. Carolyn also volunteers with the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. Carolyn believes that everyone has a story, and she loves connecting with others to hear their stories. She’s dedicated to ethical journalism and accurate reporting, which shines through in her storytelling.
