At just 17 years old, Emily Brooke was a Top 24 finalist on American Idol. Now at just 24 years old, Emily has been performing and writing music for over a decade. Throughout the years, she has had amazing opportunities to open for acclaimed artists like Kelsea Ballerini, Old Dominion, Ryan Hurd, Charles Kelley, Craig Campbell, and Randy Houser just to name a few.
In 2017, Emily’s self-titled EP charted at #11 on the iTunes charts for Country Albums and #81 all genres. “This sound is most adequately described as authentic, raw, and heavily focused on her vocals that resemble no other artist in the industry.” – NashvilleGab. In recent singles, Emily’s clean vocals truly turn your ear to the sheer talent that she possesses.
Currently working on new music, Emily’s upcoming single, She’s Bad For Me, dives in and addresses mental health and learning how to learn to handle the internal voices and struggles that we all deal with. Another yet-to-be-released single that Emily says she’s excited about is Why, Why, Why. Both songs, teased on TikTok, will lean into her roots of country mixed with rock.
“My parents primarily listened to rock music, but met line dancing. I had both genres playing in my house when I was younger, so I wanted to really dig into that with my sound. I’m really excited about the songs we’re working on and the overall sound we’ve developed.”
After years of traveling back and forth to Nashville for writing sessions, Emily finally made the move to become a resident of the 615 in 2019. On February 21st, Emily says she’s excited to be hosting her first songwriter round with friends Lauren McLamb, Rob Williford, and Cameron Bedell at The Listening Room Cafe in Nashville. You can also find her in south Florida at the Key West Songwriter Festival in May!
