Ford Expedition offers ample space for passengers and gear

Written by

When you’re looking for a roomy yet comfortable SUV, the Ford Expedition can meet your needs. Check out the Expedition at any Earnhardt Auto Centers affiliated dealership today, including Earnhardt Ford in Chandler or Rodeo Ford in Goodyear.

US News and World Report ranked the 2018 Expedition as Number 1 in large SUVs. The Expedition also earned the top rating for three-row SUVs and family SUVs. Among the features that earned this top spot are the Expedition’s powerful engine, upscale cabin with ample features, three rows of spacious seating, lots of cargo space and “exceptional predicted reliability” says the US News and World Report review.

The Expedition includes a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, according to US News and World Report, and still offers plenty of power — form 375 to 400 horsepower. It also features “quicker acceleration” than you’ll see from most rivals, the review notes.

Ford redesigned its Expedition for 2018, adding more comfort and safety features while reducing overall weight, according to Consumer Reports.

While the Expedition offers plenty of space, it also doesn’t skimp on comfort. When you’re shuttling people, the third row seat is “truly suitable for adults,” says a review in Consumer Reports.

Or when you need more room for your stuff, the second and third row seats fold flat. The Expedition offers more than 20 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, offering enough room for about 14 pieces of carry-on luggage, according to the US News and World Report review. Maximum capacity of more than 100 cubic feet gives room to haul furniture.

When you need to tow your gear instead of placing it in back, the Expedition features a higher maximum towing capacity than its rivals — 9300 pounds when properly equipped, per the US News and World Report review. Additional features can help make towing easier, from trailer sway control, trailer backup assist and a trailer brake controller.

Available safety features offer peace of mind, including a 360-degree camera, lane keep assist, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitors.

When you’re looking for a roomy, stylish SUV with comfortable options, try the Expedition at an Earnhardt Auto Centers dealership. Or shop online anytime at Earnhardt.com!
