Motor Trend calls the latest F-150 “the most advanced and most capable F-150” in a review. Among the F-150’s notable updates is the ability to lay the shifter flush with the console, leaving space to lay down a workspace tray. Ford also included two rulers on the tailgate in both imperial and metric measurements, making this truck a true workhorse.

Inside, the 2021 F-150 will keep everyone connected, with 14 power outlets and six USB ports. Equipped with two 3.6-kW generators and the PowerBoost full-hybrid V6, the F-150 can act as a portable generator for up to 64 hours, says a review in Car and Driver. The truck bed contains four 20-amp 120-volt outlets and a twist-lock 240-volt 30 amp outlet. In the cab are two more 120-volt outlets and one 12-volt socket.

Headrests feature audio vents with internal stereo speakers. Car and Driver calls the sound “subtle and enveloping” and sounds “almost as if you’re wearing headphones.” Crank out to your favorite tunes! And a 12-inch touchscreen displays two different windows of information.

When the driver switches to tow mode, the F-150’s digital instrument panel places vital information front and center, according to Car and Driver. This includes steering angle, incline angle and the trailer braking gain setting in real time. In off-road mode, the display changes to show the truck’s rear and displays the roll angle.
