Ford F-Series tops US market for 48 years

The Ford F-Series is again the best-selling truck in America! This iconic vehicle has taken the top spot for 48 years according to total calendar year sales from 1977-2024 and Ford internal projections. Get behind the wheel of a F-series Ford truck today at Earnhardt Ford or Rodeo Ford.

In 2023 alone, more than 700,000 customers chose a new Ford F-Series truck, according to a press release by Ford. And since 1977, Ford has sold more than 33 million F-Series trucks. The workhorse F-150 pickup leads the charge for these sales, according to Top Speed. Ford’s popular full-size truck also celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025. And towing technology consists of the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, Smart Hitch and Pro Trailer Backup Assist, eliminating the hassle of hitching and maneuvering trailers, Top Speed noted.
