Though the Ranger offers a smaller-sized truck, it doesn’t skimp on power. The Ford Ranger features a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and 10-speed automatic transmission, according to a review in Car and Driver. The new Ranger also offers towing muscle, with best-in-class maximum 1,860-pound payload and 7,500-pound tow ratings.

Other highlights include 2.3L EcoBoost® with a torque rating of 310 lb.-ft, beating all other gas-powered pickups in the midsize pickup class, according to Ford. With all that power, the Ranger is still the most fuel-efficient gas-powered midsize pickup in the country, according to EPA-estimated ratings. The Ranger offers a four-door SuperCrew cab with a 5.0-foot truck bed, or a SuperCap with rear half-doors and a 6.0-foot truck bed. The beds will fit 43.3 cubic feet and 51.8 cubic feet of gear, according to Ford.

A full slate of tech tools include the Ford infotainment system with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto compatibility, a built-in WiFi hotspot and a single USB port, according to a review by Digital Trends. Higher-end models feature add-ons like an 8.0-inch touchscreen, additional USB ports and a B&O Play audio system.

Driver-assist safety technologies can keep you navigating with confidence. Ford Co-Pilot 360™ tools include the Lane-Keeping System, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert and coverage for both the truck and trailer, according to Ford. Pre-Collision Assist comes with automatic emergency braking. Other features include Auto High-Beam Headlamps and a rear view camera. Ford Co-Pilot 360™ comes standard on the Ranger XLT and Lariat, and is optional on the Ranger XL.

When you’re looking for a stylish ride for around town and out on the trails, the new Ford Ranger offers a worthy contender. Check out the Ranger today at Earnhardt Auto Centers. Or shop online at www.earnhardt.com anytime!
