Gilbert Days Rodeo 2020

Written by

Saddle up because it’s rodeo time in Gilbert, Arizona! That’s right folks, The Gilbert Promotional Corporation (GPC) is proud to present the Gilbert Days Rodeo 2020. This homegrown extravaganza has been a staple of Gilbert, Arizona since 1978. With a goal to promote family values, Gilbert’s western heritage, and the love of community, the Gilbert Days Rodeo is your one-stop-shop for rodeo action, community celebration, and downright fun!

Once known as “The Hay Capital of the World,” Gilbert, Arizona was founded on agriculture. Land that once grew acres of hay is now home to new restaurants, bars, and shopping districts. However, as Gilbert expands, one thing holds true and that is Gilbert, Arizona’s western heritage. Today, Gilbert celebrates its rich history each November with the month-long “Gilbert Days” celebration. Festivals, a parade, and the Gilbert Days Rodeo 2020 are just a few of the activities community members can attend and participate in.

The Gilbert Promotional Corporation is the engine behind the vastly successful and popular Gilbert Days Rodeo. Made up entirely of volunteers, this Non-Profit Organization has been organizing, maintaining, and producing the Gilbert Days Rodeo since 1978.

This year’s celebration is focused on honoring Gilbert’s Hometown Heroes. Through patriotic drill performances by the Cowgirls Historical Foundation, to Old Glory flying through the arena held by Gilbert Day’s Rodeo Queen Tatum Lance and Teen Queen Anna Butler, the GPC is proud to honor the first responders, veterans, and other hometown heroes that “Kick Up Kindness” and make Gilbert, Arizona so special.

Whether you prefer exploring the vendor shops, grabbing a bite to eat and a cold drink to sip, or cheering in the stands, the Gilbert Days Rodeo has something for everyone to enjoy.

The action kicks off Friday, November 20th with the first performance of three during rodeo weekend. Friday also marks the beginning of the Gilbert Days Lil’ Dudes Rodeo. Come on out and cheer on cowboys and cowgirls big and small at both exciting events.

Peter Varlet’s the cowboy critic you love to hate, until he’s right. Born during a thunderstorm in 1972 in Bismarck, North Dakota, he grew up watching his WWII vet dad battle to save their farm from corporate claws. Now, Peter’s the unapologetic voice of Western culture, with a historian’s grip on America’s past, acknowledging both its heroes and hypocrites. His truth to power articles are a no-holds-barred zone for rodeo reviews, cowboy movie takedowns, and ranching tricks that work. He’ll tell you why your country singer’s a fraud and how to fix a fence with only baling wire and spite. Peter despises corporate factory farms taking over and cherishes the DIY grit of real Americans. Politically correct? Nope. Trustworthy? Damn straight. He’s saving the West, one brutal truth at a time.
