The beautiful Avi Resort and Casino in Fort Mojave, Arizona, will be center of attention during the Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo Association Finals (GCPRA) that will be held on November 8th and 9th, 2019. The Resort itself will be the host for room accommodations and for the go-around buckle presentation at the year-end awards dinner and banquet.
Tickets for the event are available online at avicasino.com. You can get Gold Buckle ($25), Silver Buckle ($15) or General Admission seating ($10). This is going to be largest event to date, with Avi Resort and Casino already being sold out of rooms. But there are plenty of other options around town that will suffice just fine.

The Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo Association is a regional rodeo association that partners with committees to put on several rodeos throughout the year. Their finals, always taking place in November, mark the end of their season. Their first rodeo in the new season is just a few shorts weeks after. Gilbert Days Rodeo will be the first rodeo of their “2020 Season”.
Compared to the larger rodeo associations like the PRCA, the GCPRA gives cowboys and cowgirls the opportunity to compete in their own backyard at their own pace. With rodeos in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Southern California, there is a rodeo for everyone in the Southwest region.
The GCPRA hosts two of its own events throughout the year. One is obviously their Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo Association Finals, but the other is their membership drive at Welcome Home Ranch in January. Cowboy Lifestyle Network covered that event this year and we are excited to see how it develops over the next few years. If you haven’t attended their Year-end finals, you should make a point to get up to Fort Mojave and see the best of the best perform for the number one spot.
