Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino reopens starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 15. The Ak-Chin Indian Community Tribal Council announced its decision through a statement released by HMA Public Relations.
Harrah’s management has implemented a variety of measures for the health and safety of casino guests and employees. These include the arrangement of slot machine banks on the casino floor to provide ample social distancing, and limited seating at blackjack tables. The Poker Room, Keno, and Bingo will not be open yet, according to the announcement.
Other precautions include hand-sanitizing stations located throughout the casino floor, masks for all employees, and increased cleaning service in all common areas.
Resort and tower guest rooms will open May 15 for stays beginning that evening. Some dining facilities will be open for food and beverage service, also with social distancing protocols in place. This only includes Dunkin Donuts®, Copper Cactus, Agaves and Chop, Block & Brew. The Buffet, Oak & Fork and Laurel Lounge will not be open yet. In addition, The Events Center at Harrah’s Ak-Chin will remain closed for now, including all events and meetings. Valet services and the Spa and Fitness Center will also remain closed until further notice.
“Over the past several weeks the Tribal Council, along with Caesars management, have been monitoring the situation here in Arizona and across the country, making sure we had the best and most accurate information needed to re-open the casino,” said Robert Livingston, general manager of Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino, in the release from HMA Public Relations. “We look forward to welcoming back our casino guests in the coming days.”
Caesars Entertainment Corporation plans to extend expiration dates for reward credits earned at all properties, including Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino. See the Caesars Entertainment website for updates. For more information or to make a reservation, visit www.harrahsakchin.com.
