Gunslinger: An Epic Tribute to Western Movies

Written by

You have seen the movies before, filled with nothing but cowboy hats, horses, revolver pistols, and a bunch of ammunition, “Gunslinger” was different. The fascination of the American Old West has been a global phenomenon since cowboys devoted their time to tell stories and all the emotion that comes along with it.

The wide range of arts in the Western genre stretches out into some of the best literature, paintings, television shows, and films of all time.
The American Film Institute defines western films as those

“set in the American West that embody the spirit, the struggle and the demise of the new frontier.”

Western movies always come down to a high-adrenaline gunslinging showdown between the good, the bad, and the ugly. Whether it is western fiction or non-fiction, you can’t help but love those old western films that were filmed on location at movie ranches in states like Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, and Texas. The Southwestern settings are beyond gorgeous and the stories are just the best. Especially when it comes to preserving the norms, ideals, values, and struggles of a unique time and place in history that gets lost in translation more and more in current times.

Several years ago, Smash TV released an ultimate tribute to some of the best Western films that epitomize the cowboy lifestyle and the mayhem of the Good ol’ Wild West. Gunslinger is a fun film to watch and will certainly get you excited to start watching more Western movies again.
The top Western Movies over the past 4 decades are compressed into one unforgettable hour, including stars, such as Clint Eastwood and John Wayne.

“Regulators, we regulate any stealing of his property, we’re damn good too. But you can’t be any geek off the street. You have to be handy with steel if you know what I mean, earn your keep.”
-Young Guns (1988)

As a matter of fact, hip hop artists, Warren G and Nate Dogg, were clearly inspired by the classic work of cinematic brilliance, Young Guns, before Warren G produced the hit track, Regulators. The only question is if Warren G is Emilio Estevez or Kiefer Sutherland from the legendary Western film. Cowboy Lifestyle Network hopes you enjoyed this ultimate Western film tribute, titled “Gunslinger” by Smash TV because we sure did. Let CLN know what your favorite Western movies are, we would love to hear your comments!
