Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino serves up bountiful feasts and fun this season

If you’re headed to the casino on Christmas Day, Monday, December 25, you might receive a special present – all Total Rewards members can receive $10 in Free Slot Play! “Unwrap” this special gift after earning at least one Tier Credit at your favorite slot machine between 8 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on December 25.

Bring your appetite when you come to the casino! The Buffet offers a delectable Christmas Day feast, with honey baked ham, roasted beef tenderloin, leg of lamb, hazelnut crusted salmon, sweet potato mash, and green bean casserole. Scrumptious desserts include pecan pie, cabernet sorbet and tiramisu gelato. If you’re not sure what to cook on Christmas Day, bring your crew on over for this great selection! The Christmas Day Buffet will be available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day for $29.99 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

Agave’s Restaurant serves up a December special – BBQ meatloaf with two eggs, mashed potatoes and toast – available all month from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $14. Or enjoy Agave’s Christmas Day special, prime rib and eggs, with hash browns and toast for $25.

Remember Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino for your New Year’s Eve celebrations too! Feast on the New Year’s Eve spread at The Buffet, offered December 31 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Choices include ancho chili prime rib, parmesan crusted pork loin, carved salmon, lobster mac and cheese, ranch mashed potatoes, a seafood bar, fruit and cheese display and lots of holiday treats. The buffet is available for $59.99 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

The latest restaurant in the lineup at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino, Oak & Fork is now open, featuring fine wines and small plates like flatbreads and bruschetta. Oak & Fork is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4 p.m. to Midnight on Fridays & Saturdays. Oak & Fork will also be open for your New Year’s Eve festivities from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Visit  Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino on New Year’s Eve for a Reward Credit Multiplier of up to 18X. First, play on December 31 from 6 a.m. to noon to receive an 8X Multiplier, and  come back on January 1, 2018, from 12:01 a.m. to 5:59 a.m. to receive an 18X Multiplier. To be eligible, you must swipe your Total Rewards card at any Promotional Kiosk between 6 a.m. on December 31 and 5:59 a.m. on January 1 to activate and receive the multiplier.

Don’t miss the casino’s $5 featured drink for December – spiked cocoa, available on the casino floor and in The Lounge bar. This tasty concoction mixes up peppermint schnapps, hot cocoa topped with whipped cream and a mini candy cane. You’ll want more than one!

Carolyn Sostrom is a long-time Arizona resident who loves desert sunsets, warm weather, Zumba, and the Western lifestyle. She attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale and then Arizona State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Similarly to the protagonist in *The Devil Wears Prada*, Carolyn moved to New York City right after college. She started working for the fashion magazine company Conde Nast but never transitioned to the dark side. After a few years, she left New York in the rearview mirror and returned to her home state, taking a reporter job at the *Apache Junction Independent*. With over 30 years of freelance writing experience, Carolyn especially enjoys writing about community events and profiling individuals who are making a difference in their communities. She had the pleasure of interviewing a variety of cowboy personalities for an article she wrote for the *Scottsdale Independent* about the history of DC Ranch and its roots as a working ranch. Now, her Western adventures with CLN have her diving into the rugged automotive scene, exploring the trucks and rigs cowboys rely on for work, home, and play, a niche where grit meets horsepower. She works at Raising Special Kids, a nonprofit resource center for families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. Carolyn also volunteers with the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. Carolyn believes that everyone has a story, and she loves connecting with others to hear their stories. She’s dedicated to ethical journalism and accurate reporting, which shines through in her storytelling.
