[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association is coming to the heart of Texas. From October 5 to the 14, the PRCA circuit will hit the dirt at the Extraco Coliseum for the annual Heart O’Texas Fair and Rodeo and the Waco All American Pro Rodeo, two of the most exciting and wholesome events for families in the Lone Star State. The PRCA competition at the Waco All American Pro Rodeo is one of the final stops before the circuit heads to Las Vegas for the grand finale, which will include million dollar cash prizes.

The Heart O’Texas Fair and Rodeo also includes a trade expo and carnival for the enjoyment of the whole family. The Waco All American Pro Rodeo will feature the traditional competitive events of bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding plus steer wrestling, roping and barrel racing. The PRCA events will begin each night at 7:00 p.m. except on Monday, October 9. Tickets to the Fair are valid for the rodeo events except for October 7 and 14, when tickets will go between $20 and $30 at the gate; you can also purchase three-day Family Fun Packs for $99 online at http://www.hotfair.com/p/tickets.

There will be more than just rodeo action at the Waco Fair. The Music Zone will feature performances by hot country music artists such as Wade Bowen, the Josh Abbott Band, Michael Ray, Kyle Park, La Fe Norteña, Flatland Cavalry with Koe Wetzel. All the concerts are free with gate admission. A beer and wine garden will be set up near the Music Zone; a kids’ zone will be provided by Extraco Banks, next to the Hometown Stage.
As in previous years, the Heart O’Texas Fair will also host crafts competitions, a calf scramble, a junior rodeo, a parade, a livestock show, and an academic rodeo. Fair sponsors include Bud Light and Waco 100, the number one country music radio station in Texas. During the fair, you will also get to meet the Fair and Rodeo Sweethearts, beautiful young ladies who have shown academic excellence as well as lots of grace at local high schools.
The media team covering the Heart O’Texas Fair and Rodeo is led by the Cowboy Lifestyle Network with help from the Ak-Chin Indian Community, Earnhardt Auto Centers, and the Papa John’s Pizza Road Team.
