Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 2017

For rodeo fans in Houston, there’s no bigger event to attend than the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. This year’s event, which started on March 7th and goes through March 26th, is without a doubt one of the premier rodeo events in Texas. Taking place in NRG Stadium, fans from Houston and throughout the Lone Star State are sure to see plenty of thrills and spills, along with plenty of great entertainment.

Musical Acts

In addition to the great rodeo action, there will be lots of great musical acts making their way to the Houston Rodeo. A mix of country and pop performers, this year’s lineup is an all-star gathering to be sure. Among the acts scheduled to appear are:

Rodeo Events

To go along with great music, there will of course be plenty of great action at this Houston Rodeo. Since this is an invitation-only event, fans are sure to see only the greatest competitors each and every day. Some of the events fans can expect to see include:

  • Barrel Racing
  • Steer Wrestling
  • Team Roping
  • Bare Bronc Riding
  • Roping

Since only the best rodeo pros will be competing here, there’s sure to be lots of nail-biting action as they go for the more than $2 million in prize money.

Media Coverage

Because this is the most anticipated rodeo in Texas, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will have plenty of media coverage from beginning to end. While such groups as the Papa John’s Pizza Road Team, Earnhardt Auto Centers, and Ak-Chin Indian Community will be giving fans plenty of great looks at the rodeo, the Cowboy Lifestyle Network will also be offering its one-of-a-kind coverage of the event. Highlighting the events along with the competitors, CLN is sure to showcase the action in many unique ways.

Come One, Come All

For fans young and old in Houston, Texas, the Houston Livestock Show is a must-see event. Whether it’s watching a big, bad bull try to throw off one rider after another, or being thrilled at the skills of team roping, there’s no doubt this Houston Rodeo is something special. Between the great music, rodeo action, and charitable organizations such as 4-H that benefit from this event each year, there’s no better place to be than at NRG Stadium watching the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
