Designed for only the best Indian cowboys and cowgirls, the INFR looks to “provide, promote, and preserve the advancement of Professional Indian Rodeo” according to their official website.
Since its conception in 1976 in Salt Lake City, UT, the INFR has brought together several associations from the northern hemisphere to compete year in and year out. With prizes being over $1,000,000, the stakes are high. Talent ranges from amateur to even PRCA riders. Standing as the largest and oldest Indian rodeo organization in the world, the competition allows from anywhere from 8-year-olds to 80-year-olds.
This year, you can find electrifying cowboys such as reigning bareback riding champion Buck Lunak or 2014 saddle bronc maestro Fran Marchand.
