Powered by a 6.4-liter V-8 that provides 450 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque, the Wrangler Rubicon offers plenty of muscle for both on and off-road. The engine is FCA’s 392-cubic-inch hemi, according to a review in Car and Driver.

Jeep upgraded the engine mounts and modified the frame to make room for the V-8 in the Wrangler, notes Car and Driver. According to Jeep, the Rubicon 392 gets from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than five seconds, with a dual-mode exhaust system to make some noise.

This vehicle has the “off-road chops to back up the monstrous powertrain,” says Car and Driver. This includes Dana 44 axles, a full-time two-speed transfer case, electronic front and rear locking differentials and a two-inch lift with upgraded shocks.

The Rubicon 392 sits high on a two-inch lift kit with 37-inch mud-terrain tires. It also sports Rubicon rock rails, steel bumpers and a Warn winch up front. These upgrades provide 13.3 inches of ground clearance, a 51.6-degree approach angle, 29.5-degree breakover and a 40.1-degree departure angle, says Car and Driver in its review.

CNet RoadShow says the 392 concept looks “different than other Wranglers” thanks to custom half-doors and removable rear-quarter windows. Dark-red leather seats make this “a good-looking rig,” notes CNet RoadShow. Jeep fans are sure to enjoy the Wrangler Rubicon 392, inside and out.

AutoBlog calls the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon the quickest and loudest Wrangler ever offered, thanks to its dual-mode exhaust system. If you’re looking for a powerful car that looks good and performs on and off-road, check out the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 at Earnhardt Jeep or Rodeo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
