Joe Denim: Making Country Music Funny Again

Written by

Do you remember when country music had some personality to it? When it was smart, sassy, witty, and not just fun but funny? Well meet Joe Denim…he is all that rolled into one and he is busting in and out of Nashville at a crazy rate of speed.

Having roots on a working dairy farm in Ohio Joe found that the harmonica was the best way to call the cows down in the morning and it turned out to be even more instrumental in his life along with the piano, which became a staple in his music career when he took to the road with Steve Holy and Uncle Kracker. Fast forward and Joe recently opened for Big & Rich, Charlie Daniels, and Craig Morgan. Plus hosted two days of Riverfront Stage during CMAfest.

Joe not only plays but writes songs with witty lyrics and Shel Silverstein like twists combined with the “Far Side” way of life. There is no doubt if you have been a country music fan for a while you will recognize Joe for the double platinum selling, irreverent break up hit “Pray For You”.  The craziest sight I have seen was 30,000 people singing along to “Pray For You” and when he performed a solo acoustic set in between Dwight Yoakum and Alan Jackson at the annual Tree Town Festival in Iowa. I was blown away with everyone singing along word for word!

Which means when I tell you that you must listen to his latest, the ultimate redneck love song “Together We’re A Ten” you know that you will want to share it with your friends. Both of these videos are right here so you don’t even need to leave the page to have an ab workout from laughing so hard!

The laughs don’t stop in the cleverly crafted songs by Joe Denim and numerous places have noticed! Storme Warren from The Highway on SiriusXM pulled Joe on to be music director and co-host for a fantastic series of concerts at the historic War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville.

And NOW the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville recognized this best kept secret and is featuring Joe! Their newest stage called the Blue Dizzy is an immersive entertainment experience reminiscent of a bygone era of supper clubs and variety shows.

Anchored by music and comedy from Joe and featuring special guest appearances from A-list performers, onstage barstool gossip, loads of laughter and the opportunity to take a spin around the dance floor.

This is not the last time you will hear of Joe Denim from here, as a avid military supporter, frequent outdoorsman, unique music, witty lyrics, sidesplitting laughs, and mainly because according to Joe…“With my songs and comedy, I am determined to MAKE COUNTRY MUSIC FUNNY AGAIN.” Make sure to follow Cowboy Lifestyle Network to get the latest scoop on your favorite up and coming music stars.
