The Ak-Chin Indian Community – From noon – 4 p.m. the Recreation Center pool will be open and at Milton P. Antone Park from 4-8 p.m. there will be a watermelon-eating contest, a hot dog-eating contest, a talent show, jumping castles and water activities. Fireworks will begin between 8:30-8:45 p.m., weather permitting. Please contact the Ak-Chin Indian Community Recreation Department for more information at 520-568-1740.
Immediately after the fireworks, there will be a movie under the stars. Come watch family-favorite The Goonies on the Jumbo Tron. Cool treats, snow cones and concessions available for purchase.
The Buffet will be open from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. for guests to enjoy a barbeque and seafood special for only $27 per person. Total Rewards members won’t want to miss the opportunity to pick up a free wet and dry portable auto vacuum: Seven Star and Diamond guests can pick up theirs from noon – 7 p.m. Other Total Rewards guests can pick up from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.
The shotgun start is at 7:30 a.m. Cost is $50 + tax per person which includes 18 holes with a cart, a post-golf buffet, complimentary bottles of water, on-course contests, and awards for best dressed and most patriotic golfer.
