Junior NFR 2017 at Las Vegas Convention Center during Wrangler NFR 2017

If you’ll be at the NFR, come out to the Junior NFR at the Las Vegas Convention Center and cheer on these young cowfolk December 11-16!

If you’re a fan of rodeos, you know it takes years of training and practice to become a world champion. Because of this, competitors start when they are pretty young, in the hopes of one day becoming a world champion. That’s what makes the Junior NFR 2017 at the Las Vegas Convention Center so exciting for fans of all ages. Whether you’re a Vegas cowboy or cowgirl, chances are you will be watching plenty of future rodeo champions at this event. With more than 300 contestants scheduled to compete in a variety of events, it’s sure to be something you won’t want to miss.
Taking place between December 7-16 during the Wrangler NFR, the Junior National Finals Rodeo has grown so much in recent years that it garners plenty of media coverage. Whether it’s the Cowboy Lifestyle Network giving fans lots of behind-the-scenes looks at the competition or fans being treated to great interviews courtesy of the Ak-Chin Indian Community, Earnhardt Auto Centers, and Papa John’s Road Team, there’s no doubt the competition will get extensive coverage.
Events and Competitors
As the Junior NFR has grown, it has added competitors and events. With events broken down into various age groups, there will be plenty of great action. Some of the events fans can expect to see include:
–Bull riding
–Bareback riding
–Saddle Bronc riding
–Steer Wrestling
–Team Roping
–Tie Down
–Barrel Racing
Whether you like watching the 19 and over contestants, the 10 and under contestants, or those in between, you’ll be treated to plenty of great action.
