Kimes Ranch Million $ Breakaway Announces New Schedule & Concerts

The Largest Purse in Breakaway Roping History Has Updated Dates, a New Concert Lineup, and Continued Commitment to Equine Well-Being

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Kimes Ranch Million Dollar Breakaway and CN Productions Rising Stars events have officially announced updated dates and a reimagined entertainment lineup following proactive health and safety measures taken to protect equine athletes. Originally planned for late November, the events will now take place Dec. 16–21 at WestWorld of Scottsdale, with final performances and concerts scheduled for Dec. 18–20.

Organizers moved the dates out of an abundance of caution after recent health concerns within the equine community, working closely with veterinarians and industry officials to ensure the safest environment possible. The new schedule maintains the full competition format and introduces additional live music performances throughout the final rounds.

“We know how much these events mean to competitors, families, and fans, and we share in the anticipation surrounding
this historic moment for women in rodeo,” said Amanda Kimes, vice president of Kimes Ranch. “The well-being of the
horses that make this sport possible will always come first. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional, world-class
events at the right time for everyone involved.”

The updated concert and finals schedule will be held on Thursday, Dec. 18, with Breakaway Roping Final Rounds 1–3 and a newly added performance by Jeremy McComb. Josh Meloy will headline on Friday, Dec. 19, alongside Rounds 4–6. The final night on Saturday, Dec. 20, will feature Rounds 7–10 and a new performance by Austin Burke. A complete schedule is available at milliondollarbreakaway.com/details/schedule, and tickets can be purchased at milliondollarbreakaway.com/purchase-tickets.

All current ticketholders have automatically been transferred to the corresponding new dates. Tickets originally issued for Thursday, Nov. 27, will now be valid for Thursday, Dec. 18; Friday, Nov. 28, tickets will be honored Friday, Dec. 19; and Saturday, Nov. 29, tickets will apply to Saturday, Dec. 20.

Presented by Kimes Ranch in partnership with Boot Barn, the Million Dollar Breakaway remains the richest breakaway roping event in history and a landmark moment for female rodeo athletes. The competition features the top 10 athletes in the world standings and 15 qualifiers who will contend for the million-dollar purse over 10 rounds.

Organizers will continue to monitor veterinary guidance and maintain enhanced safety protocols to protect all equine participants. Competitors and horse owners are encouraged to follow best practices for prevention and biosecurity and to stay updated through official Million Dollar Breakaway and CN Productions communication channels.
