Kimes Ranch Million Dollar Breakaway 2025

Rodeo News

The second annual Kimes Ranch Million Dollar Breakaway is right around the corner! Come join us November 24-30 as some of the most talented women ropers in the world take center stage at WestWorld of Scottsdale. An unprecedented million-dollar purse will be paid out in a 10-round competition consisting of the top 10 breakaway ropers in the world standings plus 15 qualifiers. In addition to exciting roping action, guests can enjoy trade shows, vendor booths, nightly award ceremonies, and exhilarating musical acts on Friday and Saturday.

“We know there has been a huge push to have the breakaway ropers on the big stage, roping for equal money under the bright lights. I believe that is still the ultimate goal for everyone, but until that happens, we at Kimes Ranch wanted to create an event that would provide the excitement, the recognition, and the purse that these breakaway athletes deserve!”

Amanda Kimes
Vice President of Kimes Ranch.

How it Works

The Million $ Breakaway will consist of 10 go rounds.

  • Rounds 1, 2, and 3 will be on Thursday night, November 27th, at 6:30 pm.
  • Rounds 4, 5, and 6 will be on Friday night, November 28th, at 6:30 pm.
  • Rounds 7, 8, 9, and 10 will be on Saturday, November 29th, at 6:30 pm.

For the last 4 rounds of the final performance, we will cut down from 25 to 15 finalists based on money won and average ranking over the first 6 go rounds.
