The Kingsmen, a legendary volunteer group, are the force behind this event. Year after year, they saddle up to ensure Kingman’s western heritage is not only remembered but also celebrated. Thanks to them, fans get two nights of non-stop rodeo action with some of the toughest cowboys and cowgirls from the Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo Association (GCPRA).
The Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo Association (GCPRA) has been preserving the Western spirit since 1982. What began as a small Arizona-based rodeo circuit has evolved into one of the premier rodeo associations in the Southwest, boasting over 600 members. The GCPRA provides a stage for both seasoned pros and rising stars to compete in classic events like bull riding, saddle bronc, team roping, and barrel racing. Known for its family-friendly atmosphere and high-energy competition, the GCPRA rodeo circuit is a place where tradition meets adrenaline. Every event reflects their mission: to preserve the cowboy way of life while delivering unforgettable experiences for fans and competitors alike.
The Kingman GCPRA Rodeo isn’t just for the die-hard rodeo fan; it’s an event for everyone. Kids get in on the fun, families enjoy delicious food and vendors, and the energy in the stands is electric. Plus, with kids 6 and under free, it’s a weekend that won’t break the bank. Be sure to bring water, sun protection, and your best cheer. Wear comfortable western wear as boots, hats, and jeans are highly recommended. Cash and cards accepted for food vendors, rodeo merch, and entry to the barn dance.
