Kitsap County Fair and Stampede 2017

Written by

Hold on to your cowboy hat! That special time of the year has arrived for the annual County Fair in Kitsap County, a community that is known for its celebration of cowboy and rodeo culture. In 2017, the Kitsap Stampede will return along with the Xtreme Bulls circuit of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association, and this means lots of western rodeo action for the entire family.
Know to locals as the Big County event, the Kitsap Fair will be held at the Bremerton fairgrounds from August 23 to the 27. The PRCA Kitsap Stampede and the Xtreme Bulls events will be held at the Thunderbird Arena from Thursday to Saturday starting at 6:30 p.m. There will be eight PRCA events during the Kitsap Fair, but the favorite event by far is the Xtreme Bulls.
PRCA bull riders are often regarded as being some of the bravest competitors in the world. Trying to stay atop the ferocious animals in the Xtreme Bulls circuit for only eight seconds is a very dangerous feat. PRCA riders come from across the United States and from around the world; some of the top circuit riders these days come from Brazil and Mexico, two countries where rodeo traditions are very strong.
The Kitsap Fair is more than just bull riding; country music star Daryle Singletary will play a concert on August 24 at the Kitsap Fair Beer Garden, the Man Up Crusade against domestic violence will have special activities for families on August 24, and the Tough Enough to Wear Pink breast cancer awareness organization will be the rodeo sponsor on August 26.
Tickets for the county fair and rodeo events are can be purchased online at eTix.com. The best ticket deals are combos that include rodeo nights and access to the fairgrounds. In case you have not had enough action after the rodeo, the Kitsap Annual Destruction Derby will take place on Sunday night. Other attractions will include exotic animals, mysterious hypnotists, cowgirl tricksters, wood carvers, and more.
Coverage of the Kitsap Stampede, the Kitsap Fair and other PRCA Xtreme Bulls events will be handled by the Cowboy Lifestyle Network, your favorite source of online information for everything related to country and western culture. The Cowboy Lifestyle Network media team works with the Papa John’s Pizza Road Team, Earnhardt Auto Centers and the Ak-Chin Native American Community to cover all the action you can enjoy at CowboyLifestyleNetwork.com
