Larimer County Fair and Rodeo 2017

Written by

From August 6th through August 8th, the Budweiser Events Center will attract Loveland residents and visitors from miles around for the fun and festivities featured at the Larimer County Fair. Each night at 7:00 P.M., visitors also have the chance to experience the thrills and excitement of the bull riding and other competitions during the Larimer County Rodeo.
The Larimer County Rodeo
Some of the top cowboys in the country will compete for the championship title while riding, roping or wrestling animals provided by the Beutler and Son Rodeo Company. The schedule of events includes PRCA bull riding. Bullfighters Brandon Loden and Dusty Tuckness will be on hand to keep the western athletes safe, and barrel man and clown Justin Rumford will provide comic relief.
During the Larimer County Rodeo intermission, audiences enjoy the ever-adorable mutton bustin’ competitions along with:
• The Local Heroes Night, which honors military personnel and first responders
• The Parade of Champions
• The Northern Colorado Special Olympics Night
• The Larimer County Fair & Rodeo coronation of the queen
Special Events
On Friday, August 4th, the indoor and outdoor arenas play host to the Mule & Donkey Show along with the Larimer County Draft Horse Pull.
On Saturday, August 5th, the Colorado Regulators dazzle the crowds with a shooting expedition while on horseback. Saturday also brings the Junior Rodeo and the Draft Horse Show to the arenas.
Beer lovers attend the Gnarley Barley Brew Festival. Nearly two dozen breweries will be on hand to offer a long list of samples. Guests will also have the chance to enjoy a selection of great foods while listening to live concerts. The monies gained from the fund-raising event goes to the charities of individual brewery choice.
On Sunday, canines demonstrate their unique abilities during the Ranch-Dog Gymkhana.
The Larimer County Rodeo and Fair would not be complete without the live concerts, which begin on Friday the 4th. Scheduled performers include Johnny & the Mongrels, Union Gray and Amplified Souls.
