The PBR World Finals is here, November 3rd through November 7th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is one the most adrenaline-rushing and thrilling events you’ll witness. When a bull rider falls or jumps off the bull, it is the bullfighter’s duty to redirect the bull’s attention and fight off the bull so the rider can get back to safety. Professional bullfighter, Lucas Teodoro has been working hard to make his dreams a reality. Lucas has come all the way from Brazil and has stayed true to himself by his work ethic, determination, and building a solid foundation in his career as a professional bullfighter.
“I give 100% because everytime a bull rider nods their head to go out they’re counting on me to save them. It’s important to be 100% and give everything I got.”
Lucas Teodoro
Lucas was born and raised in Pinhal, São Paulo, Brazil, and first entered the arena at age thirteen by doing practice rounds fighting bulls. The Brazilian Bullfighter performed in his first rodeo at age sixteen as a professional bullfighter. After his first rodeo, he worked in Brazil for 10 years. Lucas eventually got into PBR Brazil doing all the events he wanted to do. He had always dreamt of coming to the United States ever since he was younger. Towards the end of 2012 was when Lucas came to the United States for the first time. For a few years, he’d go back and forth staying in Texas for 2 to 3 months then back to Brazil. In 2015 Lucas decided it was time to plant his roots here in the United States by officially making the move to Texas and staying. He now resides in Decatur, TX which is north of Fort Worth with his wife, Ingrid, and their three-year-old son, Gabriel, and their daughter, Giovanna who was just born in June 2021.
Lucas came to the United States with a goal and a dream to make it to the PBR World Finals and he’s made that dream come true. He has been voted by the bull riders as one of the top four PBR Bullfighters for the second year in a row. Be sure to catch Lucas Teodoro at this year’s PBR World Finals starting November 3 through November 7th.
The best advice Lucas has for someone who has a dream going into professional bullfighting or any professional rodeo sport,
“Believe in yourself and work hard. You know, nothing is going to happen if you don’t put the effort in and work on it. So that when that opportunity comes you’re ready. I think that’s the most important thing.”
