Josh Roy is an American country music recording artist, singer, and songwriter from Arizona. Josh truly has a sound of his own, If you had to do a comparison, he is a mix between Tracy Byrd and Luke Bryan, truly a special voice. His ability to write true songs from the heart and his passion and resilience are the things that will help drive him to the top. Although talent is an important factor, his down-to-earth attitude and love of country have captured the hearts of all his fans. Since he was a young child, he has been singing anywhere he had a chance. That carried on into his construction career at 18 years old, Fellow workers and other trades would hear him belting out songs at job sites and continued asking him “why are you doing construction?!!!” When he was 18, he began writing songs to get his feet wet. Josh’s writing style is based on 90’s style country music with a modern touch to engage young listeners.
In 2013, Josh Roy began performing his first show at a local restaurant in Glendale, Arizona, this is where the road began! In 2014, Josh Roy performed on the Jack Daniels Stage at Country Thunder Florence by invitation. This fired him up and he delivered an amazing show. Today he’s now opening on the main stage for the likes of Drew Cooper, Tracy Byrd, and Tracy Lawrence just to name a few. His love for Country Music was deep-seated by both sides of his family where many are musically inclined and love the stories told in song.
Beat the heat in July with the second Summer Nights event at Bell Bank Park. The park will be open from 7 pm – 10 pm with free entertainment from the bands below including all the regularly scheduled activities. If you want a reminder, you can add the event to your calendar by following the link here.
Western Fusion was formed in the late ’90s by band leader Brian Childress. Brian’s goals were to have a band that sounded like radio and be composed of some of the best musicians Arizona has to offer. In the beginning, Western Fusion was a traditional country band. As the band evolved with musicians, so did the music. Today the standard five-piece band still plays country including George Strait, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Keith Urban, Sam Hunt and now has recently evolved with hits from the ’70s, ’80s, and today’s rock including a mix from MAGIC!, Sublime, Bruno Mars, Billy Idol, Def Leppard, and KC and the Sunshine Band. Western Fusion is known for having special guests like local female vocalist Mandy Mazon, Steel Guitarist John Rickard, and Fiddle & Mandolin player Patrick Clark. With these additions, Western Fusion adds hits from Charlie Daniels, Carrie Underwood, Pat Benatar, and Gretchen Wilson. Western Fusion has been on the local scene for 25 years and has enjoyed playing various venues throughout the state. The band has opened for National Acts such as Blake Shelton, Easton Corbin, and Mark Wills. They were also the opening act for Charlie Daniels at Cliff Castle Casino.
Nick Moody, born and raised in Flagstaff Arizona, has been playing music since he was 12 years old. At 20 years old he enlisted into the United States Army and continued playing music while being stationed in Colorado. He now resides in Peoria Arizona continuing to pursue music playing at local venues. While Classically trained, Nick’s playstyle is heavily influenced by great guitar pickers such as Glen Campbell, Tyler Childers, and Brad Paisley. Other influences such as Aaron Watson, Eric Church, and Cody Johnson help bring thoughtful song lyrics to his original songs like “Vice” and “I Could Use a Cigarette”.
Celebrate back to school by heading to Bell Bank Park for the final event in their Summer Nights Series. The park will be open to the public from 7 pm – 10 pm so come on out and enjoy one last night before all the kids go back to school. Chad Freeman and the Band will be playing from 7 pm – 10 pm and there will be activities for the whole family. See all the information here and make sure to add it to your calendar.
Chad Freeman has been performing across the southwest for more than 15 years bringing high energy country music to crowds from Nashville to Oregon. Routinely performing over 250 shows a year from solo to a full six-piece band there is something for everyone.
When not performing with his band Redline, Chad toured the globe with the world famous Village People as the Cowboy. Having performed on cruise ships, Times Square in New York for New Year’s Eve, Nascar, Fiesta Bowl, Super Bowl and NFR and PBR Finals in Las Vegas as well as 15 foreign countries Chad has seen a lot and continues to please crowds all over.
