Every year the Ak-Chin Indian Community celebrates Masik Tas, or β€œbirthday” in the month of December. Masik Tas is an event which commemorates the day in which Ak-Chin Indian Community was formally recognized as a Community. The dates for this year’s event are Saturday, December 6th, 2014, and Friday – Sunday, December 12th-14th, 2014 and the theme is “Celebrating Tradition and Diversity Through Entertainment.”
Many celebratory events take place during Masik Tas such as the carnival, pageant, parade, dance, rodeo and sports tournaments like the Masik Tas Golf Tournament on Friday, December 12th. The 10:00 am shotgun start for the Masik Tas Golf Tournament is a four player scramble and the $600 team entry includes golf, dinner, and an exclusive tee package. Sponsorship package opportunities range from $300 to $3000 and offer perks like entry fees, logo placement on event materials and signage on event holes, practice green, and driving range.
