As an avid rodeo fan, I can say that bull riding delivers a thrill like no other. The excitement in the crowd is my favorite part – it’s truly electric. And knowing the amount of training and dedication behind each ride makes me appreciate the sport even more. Plus, experiencing this western sensation in a town like Prescott Valley gives it a down-to-earth, genuine feel that’s hard to beat. See you there!
Whiskey Row, located on Montezuma Street in downtown Prescott, Arizona, is a historic and lively block that was once the heart of the city’s frontier nightlife. In its heyday, fueled by the Arizona gold rush, the area was home to over 40 saloons, catering to a colorful mix of cowboys, miners, and gamblers. The name “Whiskey Row” became synonymous with the district after the Great Fire of 1900 destroyed the entire block. Legend has it that patrons of the famed Palace Saloon, the oldest operating business in Arizona, carried the bar and its liquor across the street to keep the party going as the fire raged. The determination of the locals led to a swift and resilient rebuilding effort, resulting in the iconic brick facades that stand today. While the number of saloons has diminished, Whiskey Row retains its vibrant spirit, offering visitors a unique blend of Old West history, live music, dining, and shopping.
