Audawind is one of the newest up and coming country bands and a group to keep your eye on. This sibling trio is made up of identical twin brothers Ben and Sam Dufton and their sister Shelby. While most of the band hasn’t broken out of their teens yet, they’ve been playing together for ten years and are only just getting started.
In the summer, the siblings play about three or four nights a week in an array of venues, from the Indiana State Fair to the world famous Stephen Talkhouse to late night dive bars and beach sunset concerts, these kids are always up to something. At an Audawind concert, you’ll find the crowd dancing and singing along while the trio cracks jokes and quickly changes instruments from banjo to harmonica to electric guitar. One of their favorite things about live performances is testing out their original songs—if the crowd starts singing along to a song they’ve never heard before, they know they’ve got something good.
Hot off their summer tour, Audawind jumped right back into the studio to record their newest single and eleventh release, Back40. On Friday, the band released this fun and bouncy song about finding that person who reminds you of home and the joy of reconnecting with your roots. With every song they write, Audawind remains committed to spreading positivity and joy through their music.
With a boot-tapping beating that makes it hard to keep still while listening, Back40 infuses the perfect amount of southern rock into modern country. This is Audawind’s first single of 2023 and the band is excited to share much more music in the coming year. Stream Back40 today, now available everywhere you listen to music!
Based on the North Fork of Long Island, Audawind is a modern country band of teen siblings: Shelby, Ben, and Sam Dufton. With a unique sound that combines country, rock, and pop elements, Audawind’s music is something that fans of all genres can enjoy. The trio has been playing together since elementary school and over the last year they have released six songs onto Apple Music and Spotify. The Dufton siblings write, record, and produce original music. The trio was founded on the desire to spread positivity through good music, a love for creating, and the drive to perform. The Dufton siblings are a musical family with a mission to leave the world a happier place than when they found it by means of great music.
