The NJHFR and NHSRA National Jr. High Finals Rodeo will be held June 24 through June 30, 2018, in the SD State Fairgrounds in Huron in east-central South Dakota in the heart of the state’s Prairie and Glacial Lakes region along the beautiful James River and conveniently located at the intersection of US Hwy 14 and SD Hwy 37.
The National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) created the National Junior High Finals Rodeo (NJHFR) in 2004 to bring the exciting sport to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders as a feeder system into the Association’s high school ranks. Approximately 1,000 of the best qualifiers from each state and province show off their talents in the event and compete for thousands of dollars in prizes and scholarships.
