It is that time of the year again to head to Denver, Colorado for the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo. Get ready for 16 days packed full of events that celebrate western heritage and entertainment. Since 1906, the NWSS has been one of the premier destinations for livestock, rodeo and horse show lovers across the country.

The 2019 National Western Stock Show and the National Western Rodeo

NWSS attracts around 650,000 visitors each year and is home to one of the largest Western trade shows in Colorado. There is a multitude of vendors that specialize in everything from western accessories to BBQ. If you are looking to get your fill of shopping, rodeo and western lifestyle, the NWSS is a great place to start.

Kicking off the festivities, the annual National Western Stock Show Kick-Off Parade will be taking place on January 10th at Union Station in Denver. Families, cowboys, cowgirls, and businesses alike take a step back in time to see a parade of longhorns as they would have seen in a cattle drive back in 1906. Following the longhorns there will be plenty of other cowboys, cowgirls, tractors, marching bands and floats all celebrating Colorado’s western traditions.

There is something for everyone at the National Western Stock Show, whether you are interested in livestock, rodeo, or the Colorado Rocky Mountain Fiddle Championships, which takes place on January 12th. The NWSS also hosts 20 Pro Rodeo Performances for people looking for a little more action. Check out the full schedule and ticket information on the website: NationalWestern.com
