The inaugural Navajo County Fair took place in Taylor in 1926. However, in 1931, the County Supervisors made the decision to relocate the fair to Holbrook. This move was prompted by Holbrook’s status as the County Seat and its central position within the county. To accommodate the fair and other events, permanent fairgrounds and additional facilities were constructed in Holbrook. Today, the committee is dedicated to providing a top-notch experience for both athletes and attendees looking to experience the Navajo County Fair and Rodeo.
The Navajo County Fair and Rodeo is excited to announce that contestants at this years event will have the opportunity to qualify for the American Rodeo and advance to the Las Vegas West Regional’s Semi Finals on September 13th and 14th. By simply entering the Navajo County Rodeo and scanning a QR code, contestants will be directed to a website where they can register for the American Rodeo. If they place at the Navajo County Fair and Rodeo, they will secure a spot at the Las Vegas West Regional’s Semi Finals, bringing them one step closer to competing in the American Rodeo and the chance to win the million-dollar prize.
