Navajo County Fair & Rodeo 2025

Written by

The Navajo County Fair and Rodeo is back for their 94th year of thrilling rodeo action! From September 10-13 in Holbrook, AZ, fans can immerse themselves in everything this event has to offer: concert performances, carnival rides, unique vendors, and – of course – rodeo. Don’t miss out on the Demo Derby either! Whether you’re a seasoned rodeo-goer or a first-time attendee, I promise there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

**Event tickets will be sold at the box office in front of the event gate.**

History of the Navajo County Fair

The Navajo County Fair first began in Taylor in 1926. In 1931, County Supervisors voted to relocate the event to Holbrook – a more central location within Navajo County. To support the move, permanent fairgrounds and new facilities were built to host the growing event. Today, the fair committee continues that legacy, working hard to deliver an outstanding experience for both rodeo athletes and attendees who come to enjoy the tradition, excitement, and community spirit of the Navajo County Fair and Rodeo.

The event has also gained national recognition, being featured in World Atlas’ “Best Summer County Fairs In Arizona.” The publication shared, “What makes the Navajo County Fair special is its sense of community. It feels like a town reunion, a classroom showcase, and a Friday night out all rolled into one. If you’re passing through northern Arizona in the fall, make a detour to Holbrook. The fair may only last a few days, but the memories tend to stick around.”

The American Rodeo

I am excited to share that contestants at the Navajo County Fair and Rodeo will have the opportunity to qualify for the American Rodeo and advance to the Las Vegas West Regional’s Semi Finals! By simply entering the Navajo County Rodeo and scanning a QR code, contestants will be directed to a website where they can register for the American Rodeo. If they place at the Navajo County Fair and Rodeo, they will secure a spot at the Las Vegas West Regional’s Semi Finals, bringing them one step closer to competing in the American Rodeo and the chance to win the million-dollar prize.

Concerts

The fun isn’t over when the last bull bucks – it’s only just beginning! Stick around each night for a dynamic lineup of live concerts.

  • Dylan Wheeler – September 11th
    • The “Broke Ass Kid” Dylan Wheeler is a perfect example of what the evolution of the Texas Independent Music Scene looks like and the level of artist that it can produce. His music has all the singer-songwriter laden depth that lyric lovers covet, while his blending of both Rock and Alternative genres allows his original productions to feel comfortingly familiar whilst simultaneously breathing a gust of fresh air into a scene that has long been saturated by its Country roots.

  • Jon Wolfe – September 12th
    • Jon Wolfe’s sound can best be described as country music, as it was, is and always should be, with boots firmly standing on the bedrock of tradition and an eye focused on taking it into the future. And that, as any fan of true country knows, is no simple proposition. It’s world-class country music from the American heartland, informed by the great singers that inspired Wolfe, yet fired by his own contemporary energy and vision.

  • Josh Ward – September 13th
    • Josh Ward’s debut album, Promises, released in 2011, marked the beginning of his journey in the country music scene. Over the years, he has released several albums, and was added to the Live at Billy bob’s Texas family with the release of his live album from the world’s largest honky-tonk in 2019. His newest album, Same Ol’ Cowboy, Different Rodeo, marks a new chapter for Josh – one that Josh himself and fans everywhere are fully embracing!
