Parada del Sol Parade 2018

The 65th Annual Parada del Sol Parade will be held from 10:00 AM to Noon on Saturday, February 10, 2018, in old town Scottsdale. There will be over 100 entries of bands, floats, school groups, individual riders, and Old West entertainment. This is also one of the longest horse-drawn parades in the world and has been a tradition for more than 60 years. You and your family are welcome to wear your own western attire and bring lawn chairs to watch the parade.

Trail’s End Festival

This is right after the Parada del Sol Parade and is a huge block party in the Old Town District from Noon until 5:00 PM. There will be a Kids Area with pony rides, games, and more as well as live music, shopping, delicious food, and more for people of all ages.

Parada del Sol Rodeo

This Scottsdale Rodeo is a four-day event that will be held from March 8 to March 11, 2018 at the West World Of Scottsdale. The best rodeo contestants in the nation will compete in outdoor rodeo competitions and professional bull riding contests at this Scottsdale Rodeo, and there will be pony rides, a petting zoo, a beer garden, a hoedown, live music, and more. You can relax and have fun at country music dance hall parties after the rodeos on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Coors Light RV

This unique and large RV drives around to different locations all year long and attends rodeos, festivals, sporting events, and concerts. It appears at the Parada del Sol in Scottsdale each February. They help promote their Protect Our West campaign, which benefits the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, a non-profit that gives assistance to firefighters and to families of firefighters who were killed or injured when battling wildfires. You can give support to this worthy cause by purchasing and drinking Coors Banquet beers at any restaurant, bar, tavern, rodeo, concert, or at any retail store so that Coors can donate to the Foundation.

During rodeos sponsored by Coors, the crew provides VIP areas for bar owners, owners of convenience stores, and retailers who sell beer. Sometimes the RV is open only to those VIP guests, and sometimes it is open to the public for giveaways and tours. The RV is quite a sight outside and inside with its big-screen TVs, seating areas, and a stairwell going up to a roof lounge area with its spectacular view of the events.
