Parada del Sol Rodeo 2017

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The tradition of the Wild West comes alive when Scottsdale, Arizona hosts the annual Parada del Sol PRCA rodeo at WestWorld from March 9 through 12. All of the events will occur in the modern 120,000 square foot, 3,400-seat Equidome. 2017 marks the 64th anniversary of the non-profit event that brings all of the exciting spills and thrills each night during the popular western sporting event. See your favorite athletes go head to head with rowdy broncos and enraged bulls.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”33019″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” >as a fund raising project, which helps support a number of local organizations and programs in addition to helping families in need. Justin Boots, Resistol and Wrangler Western are some of the more than one dozen renowned businesses established locally which sponsor the Scottsdale, Arizona event. However the Head Honchos remain the primary sponsors of the annual sporting activity. The group is comprised of men and women residing in the valley who remain devoted to keeping the Western tradition alive.
Parada del Sol Events
This year’s lineup of western athlete guys and gals from across the country arrive to compete in a number of traditional pro rodeo events. Cheer for your favorite as they compete in:
• Bareback riding
• Barrel racing
• Bull riding
• Calf roping
• Saddle bronc riding
• Steer wrestling
• Team roping
• Tie down roping
Dan Fowlie will be announcing all the action as it unfolds. Bullfighters Clifford Maxwell, Donny Landis and Luke Kraut have the dangerous task of protecting fallen riders from the massively muscled animals in addition to providing some light-hearted entertainment. The PRCA rodeo begins nightly at 7:00 P.M. However, on Sunday, the events begin at 2:00 P.M. A variety of specialty acts will also perform.
Additional Events
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights following the rodeo, all are welcome to kick up your heels during the Coors Rodeo HoeDown. On Saturday night, the Handlebar J plans on hosting the Parada del Sol Rodeo Dance beginning at 9:00 P.M. Live musical entertainment will be provided by the Herndon Brothers Band.

Aaron Kuhl

Aaron Kuhl is a passionate advocate for the western lifestyle, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Cowboy Lifestyle Network (CLN). Growing up as an Arizona native, with a mother who worked for Wrangler Western for over 30 years, Aaron was immersed in the cowboy culture from a young age. Aaron and his sister Heather grew up watching rodeos, as their grandfather and uncle were PRCA ProRodeo cardholders. This early exposure has given him a profound understanding and appreciation for the western way of life. Aaron went to Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, AZ, then to the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ, where he received a Bachelor of Science after creating his own major. This unique course of study wove together Business Marketing, Geography, Sociology, Philosophy, and Religion. After graduating from the University of Arizona, Aaron joined CLN in its nascent stages, contributing to its growth and development over the past decade. As COO, Aaron manages operations, using AI to streamline processes and analyze data, ensuring CLN remains a leading voice. With expertise in business development, he innovates and cultivates client relationships, supporting CLN’s exponential growth. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Aaron values his faith, family, and friends, which are the cornerstones of his life. This personal foundation, combined with his professional expertise, makes him a trusted and authoritative voice in the western lifestyle community. Aaron’s commitment to philanthropy is the bedrock of his personal ethos. He actively supports local Arizona organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club, Chandler Compadres, Horses Help, Harris Brothers Charity Foundation, and the American Heart Association (among others), reflecting his dedication to giving back and strengthening the community he calls home. Through his work, Aaron aims to preserve and promote the traditions of the west, ensuring that the spirit of the cowboy lives on for future generations.
