PBR Announces 2020 Revised Unleash The Beast Schedule


PUEBLO, Colo. – The PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) 27thΒ year of competition in 2020 will feature 26 regular season and championship premier tour events across 21 U.S. states showcasing the best bull riders in the world attempting to conquer the rankest bulls on the planet.

The 2020 PBR Unleash The Beast is highlighted by three events paired with million-dollar World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) rodeos in Kansas City, Mo., Tacoma, Wash. and a city to be announced.

The race to the 2020 World Championship will begin January 3-5 in New York City at Madison Square Garden. The three-day Monster Energy Buck Off At The Garden will be the sport’s 14thΒ visit to β€œThe World’s Most Famous Arena” and the first of four PBR Majors of 2020.

In 2020, the PBR’s second Major is scheduled for February 7-8 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles with the Iron Cowboy. The third Major is a return to Cheyenne Frontier Days for Last Cowboy Standing on July 20 – 21. The final Major will be in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena, the weekend of August 21. A new PBR World Champion will be crowned at the PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 4-8.

    • Other 2020 highlights include:

      • The Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif. will welcome the PBR for the fourth time at its state-of-the-art arena from Jan. 24-26. It will be the PBR’s 18thΒ trip overall to Sactown, as well as the first of three trips to California in 2020, including a return to STAPLES Center.
      • Back-to-back weekends in Missouri – in St. Louis at the Enterprise Center, Feb. 22 – 23, and then Sprint Center in Kansas City Feb. 29 – March 1, following WCRA’s $1,000,000 rodeo on Feb. 28.
      • Perennial fan favorite events in Sioux Falls, SD, April 3-5 at Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, followed by Billings, MT, April 17-19 at RimRock Auto Arena, the longest running event in the PBR, which has thrilled fans 25 times in the 27-year history of the sport.
      • Return engagements in Houston, TX the weekend of August 14 and Minneapolis, Minn. the weekend of October 16, which were new stops to the PBR elite series schedule in 2019.
      • PBR returns to Tampa, Fla. for the Bad Boy Mowdown following an eight-year elite series hiatus with its first stop at the Yuengling Center in early October.
