The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) is returning to the Gem State on October 7 for two days of bucking excitement at the Nampa PBR near Boise. Also known as the Idaho PBR, the Nampa PBR event is part of the Built Ford Tough Series of pure bull riding action that culminates with substantial cash prizes in Las Vegas each year. The Idaho PBR is also sponsored by Wrangler, and the Nampa PBR will celebrate its sixth straight year as a BFTS stop.

Once again, the Ford Idaho Center will host this PBR event, which will also be televised by the CBS network for rodeo fans who cannot attend. Tickets will range between $15 and $105 with various seating options and group discounts. Fans who wish to hit the dirt and meet professional bull riders from around the world will be able to purchase tickets that will get them very close to the action. The PBR will also offer Elite Seats with VIP treatment for $350; this entertainment package includes refreshments, pampering and the opportunity to be part of the behind-the-scenes action.

In the past, Idaho PBR has witnessed some of the most rugged bull riding competitions in the circuit. In 2015, Brazilian rider Silvano Alves thought he would get the best out of Legal Tender, a formidable bull that is known to throw riders off within four seconds. On that cool and crisp Nampa night, Alves suffered a fractured hip as Legal Tender made him fly through the air and hit the dirt hard. It took surgery and six months of recovery before Alves returned to the PBR circuit. Alves has always praised the professionalism of bullriding competitions in the United States; he is one of many Brazilians who are ranked very highly on this circuit, and they will be competing against Americans, Canadians, Mexicans, and Australians.

The winners of this tournament will continue on the circuit as the big Las Vegas event is being prepared for riders brave enough to compete for a million dollars by riding the most fearsome bulls in the world.
