Since 1934, residents and visitors in Las Vegas have been enjoying Helldorado Days, a celebration of western culture that features lots of rodeo action for the entire family. In 2018, Helldorado Days will take place from May 4 to May 6; this is an official stop of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) circuit, which means that rodeo fans will get to see the most rugged and skilled riders in the world for as little as $10.
The Last Cowboy Standing event of PBR Las Vegas is a preview of the grand PBR finale, which will return to this exciting city later this year for the grand prize of a million dollars plus the honor of earning the title of best professional bull rider in the world. At this particular PBR Las Vegas rodeo, 40 cowboys will compete for a $100,000 prize plus the chance to continue riding at various PBR events in 2018.
For this PBR Las Vegas event, riders can only advance to the next stage only if they are able to remain atop the bull for eight seconds. The Last Cowboy Standing award goes to the rider with the most consecutive eight-second rides.
In addition to the PBR Last Cowboy Standing event, guests will also get to see the World Champions Rodeo Alliance showdown, in which competitors will have to prove their worth in seven disciplines ranging from barrel racing to steer wrestling and from bareback bronc riding to team roping.
Last years 2017 winner Kaique Pacheco will be back to defend his title. Pacheco a 23 year old born in Brazil currently holds rank 14 according to PBR.com. His highest streak is 4 and has earned a whopping $67,961 from his events.
