When it comes to celebrating the biggest sporting events of the year, one may consider the NFL’s Super Bowl, MLB’s World Series, or the NBA Finals … but here at Cowboy Lifestyle Network, another hard-hitting, show-stopping sport comes to mind. Known as the “Toughest Sport on Dirt,” Professional Bull Riding (PBR) has made its mark on the sporting world since 1992. Proving a great success standalone from rodeo, PBR has grown to be one of the most highly televised sporting events. Having transformed from humble beginnings as a shared vision of 20 bull riders who wished to expand from the traditional rodeo scene, PBR has become a mainstream sporting phenomenon, taking America and beyond by storm.
While the concept may differ from traditional sporting events, one commonality remains the search for a champion. In just a few short days the best cowboys and baddest bulls will put it all on the line as they compete in the 2024 PBR World Finals Championship May 9th – 19th! With 3.13 million dollars on the line across Eliminations, Ride for Redemption, and the Championship, cowboys will compete for the opportunity of a lifetime.
The PBR World Finals Championship kicks off in historic Fort Worth, Texas at the Cowtown Coliseum. This 4-day elimination series will put cowboys to the test as they vie for a spot in the next phase of the competition, the Redemption Series. 40 of the top bull riders in the Unleash the Beast Series will compete alongside the top 5 riders from the Pendleton Whiskey Velocity Tour Finals. After the 4 rounds, the top 15 riders in the Unleash the Beast standings, and the top 5 riders overall will automatically make their way to the PBR World Finals Championship.
Featuring 25 riders not advancing from the elimination series, 10 PBR Teams riders, and 5 additional invited riders. Hosted by the Cowtown Coliseum, the Ride for Redemption 2-night series will give these athletes another shot to make it to the PBR World Finals Championship. With each athlete attempting one bull nightly, the top five scoring riders will earn their spot in the finals.
The action is shifting to the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for the PBR Championship! But before the final contenders hit the arena, PBR and Kid Rock have another exciting event in store. Kicking off finals weekend is the inaugural Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo! With a prize of $1 million on the line, six teams led by legendary rodeo coaches will compete in a bracket-style competition. This one-day event will put athletes to the test as they compete for the purse. The event will conclude with a concert by Kid Rock!
After two days and four rounds of action, the PBR World Championship Finals is ready to crown its winner. The final 25 riders will give it their all as they face the toughest bulls and compete for the 1 million dollar bonus and gold championship buckle.
Live music, after parties, autograph signings, art shows, drone shows, team and breakaway roping, barrel races and more are all taking place during the 11 days of action the PBR is bringing to Texas. With a schedule far too long to list, you better get on over to the PBR website and check out all of the amazing opportunities available! CLN can’t wait to see you at the 2024 PBR World Championship Finals!
