If you’re not familiar with this one-of-a-kind Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioned rodeo, it is considered a privilege to attend whether you’re competing or spectating.
The spirit of this major rodeo goes by the tagline, “Let’ er Buck!” This rodeo is famously known by three words…Pendleton Round-Up.
Over a century ago, the very first Pendleton Round-Up show took place in Pendelton, Oregon.

Today, “The Greatest Free Show in the West” still remains and is considered one of the most exciting major rodeo attractions in America since 1910.
The very first Pendleton Round-Up was a combination of some of the most dangerous sports in the world. Including Cowboy Racing, Bronco Busting, Native American and even Military performances—“a frontier exhibition of picturesque pastimes.”
Native American tradition has been profoundly embedded since the establishment of the Pendleton Round-Up. This year’s annual celebration included the world-famous Indian Relay Races. Other attractions of Native traditions included more than 300 teepees at the grand tribal village hosted by members of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.
The biggest names in rodeo make their way to compete and put it all on the line in order to win Mother Nature’s most extreme challenges at the Pendelton Round-Up.

But let’s not forget, it all comes down to the community rodeo committee and volunteers who put this rodeo on year after year making this rodeo a true success.
The Cowboy Lifestyle Network, Ak-Chin Indian Community and Earnhardt Auto Centers Road Team traveled to the mystical summertime rodeo to capture all of the amazing moments that could only be possible at the Pendleton Round-Up.
Over 50,000 people made their journey to the city of Pendleton jumping at the opportunity to see the most unpredictable and thrilling spectacles on the planet. But don’t worry, CLN made sure to capture the top highlights of the 104th Anniversary of the Pendleton Round-Up for your entertainment.
