Written by

The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Hall of Fame is located in scenic Colorado Springs, Colorado. Constructed in 1979, the facility recognizes past and present PRCA athletes, affiliated individuals and the animals that make major contributions to the all-American sport. The entertaining facility also serves to educate the public in terms of the importance the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the sport of rodeo play in American culture and in society as a whole. The PRCA Hall of Fame continues striving to inspire future generations to keep the spirit of the western sport alive and growing.

Charles Sampson is one of many who gained recognition among the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Sampson is a CLN team member and world champion bull rider when he was inducted into the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Hall of Fame in 1996. He won the world championship in 1982. During his nearly two decade career, Sampson was admired for his ability as a western athlete and his charismatic personality. In addition, because of his contributions to the Pro Rodeo sport, a bronze statue bearing his likeness welcomes visitors.
