PRCA Commissioner Karl Stressman was at a charity auction earlier this year and purchased two feathers painted like the American Flag.
Stressman spoke about his ambitions of being an art major in college during his speech at the PRCA Convention. He asked his wife to pick up art supplies and he began painting a few feathers in his spare time. Notable PRCA personnel were gifted the feathers painted by Stressman.
The outreach with Resistol provided each WNFR contestant a feather to wear. Several cowboy hats are sporting the American Flag Feather and the patriotism within rodeo is spreading.
The program will launch for rodeo committees this year as a fundraiser in their local communities.
Feathers can be purchased in quantities for 50 through Resistol’s program with donations benefiting military outreach locally.
