The rodeo is a fun and fast-paced sport that highlights cowboy skills, performing calf roping, bronco riding and more. The rodeo has increased tremendously in popularity and is continually on the rise. Both the spectators and the athletes get mesmerized with the sport. An upcoming event that highlights the rodeo at its finest is the PRCA Turquoise Circuit Finals in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
About the PRCA
One of the leaders in the Rodeo world is the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) that is headquartered in Colorado. This rodeo association is one of the oldest and largest organizations. They are committed to upholding the greatest standards in the industry. Some of their concerns are proper working conditions, promoting sponsors of the sport, ensuring the healthy welfare of the livestock and boosting the entertainment worth of the rodeo.
The PRCA is supporting the upcoming Turquoise Circuit Finals that will be held in New Mexico. They sanction around 600 choice multiple-event rodeos annually on the continent. They believe that each event is managed with competence and fairness; the livestock is healthy, and their care is met with the highest standards.
The Turquoise Circuit Finals
The Turquoise Circuit encompasses rodeos throughout Arizona and New Mexico. They are sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in those states and have done so since 1975. The cowgirls and cowboys in the circuit choose to remain within these two states as part of the rodeo sport, rather than going national.
The Turquoise Circuit Finals in Las Cruces, New Mexico will be taking place between September 28th – 30th, 2016. Additional rodeo performances will be held on October 1st. The circuit cowboys and cowgirls are often referred to as “weekend warriors” because of their dedication to the sport closer to home. There will be various events like Steer Wrestling, Bareback Riding, Team Roping, Bull Riding, and Ladies Barrel Racing. Prizes will be presented for outstanding rodeo activities.
