Coors Banquet has teamed up with Wildland Firefighter Foundation for its annual “Protect Our West” program. Coors contributes 25 cents to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation for every case sold in select states; Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington throughout July and August, up to $250,000.
Formed in 1999, the Wildland Firefighter Foundation provides families of firefighters who were seriously injured or killed in the line of duty, emergency support services. Families left behind, many with young children, often find themselves with few resources, and the Foundation steps in to help, including assistance with travel costs bringing family members to the bedside of an injured firefighter or help with replacing lost wages during a firefighter’s medical leave.
