How the Town of Queen Creek is Staying True to its Roots

Written by

From its conception, the Town of Queen Creek was started on the same home-grown culture and values that you see today. Before we get into how this cute little is able to keep its heritage alive and well, we thought we could give you a little insight on Queen Creek’s history.

Surprisingly, Queen Creek used to go by a different name. Back then, the area was known as Rittenhouse because of the railroad spur located near Rittenhouse and Ellsworth roads. People used to flag down the train to get a ride into Phoenix. As the community grew, and the use of the railroad stop diminished, the community changed its name and took on the name Queen Creek.

Today Queen Creek is preparing for new additions to its rich cultural diversity. The rapid expansion experienced by nearby cities in the 1980s continues today. The Town of approximately 24,000 citizens faces inevitable growth. It incorporated in 1989 to preserve the benefits of rural life while providing an avenue for managed change. Residents seek to preserve the Town’s friendly, small town spirit while providing economic and recreational opportunities and a high quality of life.

There are many avenues in which Queen Creek is keeping its heritage intact and one of those ways is through Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre, which is home to several events throughout the year.

Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre is a majestic, 38 acre facility, located in the Phoenix metropolitan area. This venue provides ample opportunity for events of both the English and Western equestrian persuasion, as well as home shows, RV and car shows, concerts and weddings.

This beautiful event center relies on its volunteers and dedicated sponsors to keep the centre in good running order. One of those sponsors is one of our very own, WSM Auctioneers. WSM sponsors this event center, not only because it gains them exposure from event to event but because this is a cause they can stand behind. Much like the way Queen Creek is preserving its heritage, WSM continues their own legacy through the art of auctions.

Cowboy Lifestyle Network is proud to partner with WSM Auctioneers and Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek to help provide visibility for events and organizations that promote the heritage of the Town of Queen Creek.
